A challenge dating women over 40 wanting kids. still

I'm curious, would having a child/children be a deal breaker if the father wasn't around? What if she was widow? What if the woman was SMBC?

I don't know if you want me to answer your question or not, but...

Unless the child was an independent adult, I'm not dating any mother, whatsoever.

Whether the father is around or not makes no difference, deal break #1 is children.  First mention that she has kids and I'm gone.

I did date one woman who had a child at a very young age.  When I met this woman, her daughter was finishing up college (in another state) and had a job lined up in that state.  The daughter was both intelligent & very independent, so she was not a factor in my relationship with the mother.  Moreover, after raising her daughter by herself (husband died when child was 1.5 years old), this woman did not want any more children and we were both of the same mindset.

That would mean I'd be hard to find time to even date, esp. if it's with a man who doesn't have kids. I knew a woman that had her kid 24/7 that had to call things off with a guy when he got frustrated with her never having weekends available due to her kids' Cub Scouts activities (she was a  Den Mother)...her time off was completely taken up with that. He suggested bringing his tent and stuff to one of their camp outs as a way to compromise, and she didn't think it was a good idea (give the kid the wrong idea).  Thus this ended things.

Well after divorce l had one very important kid stipulation if there was gonna be anyone new. One kid, max, no more, and preferably older, or no kids. For a whole barrage of reasons not only the obvious.
