QuietRiot
I saw this random post from a single lady on local community Facebook group. She said that she was at a local Home Depot, and met this guy in the cashier line, and their dogs met. (I guess they had both their dogs?) She later jumped on the group and said that she'd met this guy, but didn't have time to chat and wanted to ask him out. Now, if a dude did this, wouldn't this be considered kind of stalker-ish? SumGuy
Putting out a general request for someone to contact you is not stalker-ish. It's hard to stalk someone you don't know and it leaves it in the hands of the other person if they contact you. Now taking down his license plate and staking out his work, that would be stalker-ish

basil67
Saying "if this was you, I'd love to speak with you again" is not stalkerish. Giving a full description of the person and asking others to help locate and share personal details is stalkerish.

I agree with the second sentence as well. If not stalkerish, then creepy as hell. Edited January 25, 2021 by poppyfields
basil67
@QuietRiot Perhaps you don't understand the meaning of stalking? This is a fair description I just found on the web: Stalking can be defined as the willful and repeated following, watching or harassing of another person. Unlike other crimes, which usually involve one act, stalking is a series of actions that occur over a period of time. The post you referred to, whether made by man or woman is not remotely stalkerish.
