samsungxoxo
Sometimes my father says I remind him of his mother when he was a kid. I was 4 years old the last I saw her and my parents took me to the US afterwards. She died years later and I have no memories of her, except in photos. I don't remember her at all. Would you say this is too much of a coincidence? - My father named me after her. I carried her first name. - My physical appearances and smile is similar to her when she was young, same wavy hair too - The way I carry myself with others - Sometimes (on certain recipes) my cooking style and flavor is like hers - Today I ended up cooking a soup his mother used to made him when he was kid and had a cold; he said it was exactly his mother's soup Needless to say I had no idea what type of foods and soups she made. I'm still learning to cook better through google and youtube. First, I shared her first time...then I look similar to her, then my mannerism is similar too and lastly in the kitchen too. Do you think this is too much coincidence?
trident_2020
If it's not coincidence then what do you think it is? Everything you wrote can be explained by genetics and chance.
ShyViolet
I don't know what you mean by "too much coincidence." I don't understand what you are suggesting.

I don't understand what you are suggesting. We're too similar in looks, personality, mannerism and certain cooking styles. Imagine that on top fo that, having to only share the first name. Hence why I stated that it seems like a lot of coincidences.
trident_2020
So it seems like a lot of coincidences. I just read about a guy who won the lottery 6 times. That's a lot of coincidences too. What's your point?

Your phrasing suggests you think there is something weird going on that you don't know about. Like your dad's mother is your mother, or some other bizarre twist. If you're spiritual maybe you think you have a special connection and are twin souls or something like that. On the face of it, as you've written it, it just seems you inherited a lot of your grandmother's qualities, not really that unusual in families. Your questioning it seems more odd than the "coincidences" themselves.
