Looking for a job

Recommended Posts

Seems like you already know it's a scam. Just delete and block contact like this.

Finding a job is hard work and time consuming. It's better for you to be contacting them.

Don't waste your time, energy or headspace entertaining obvious scams. That will lead to burnout very quickly.

Recruiters are just sales people on a commission. They don't really care about you or your future job.

Avoid this job offer. Very suspicious looking

Yeah, my gut feeling is suspicious, apparently it looks like a "up and coming" company. There is  no number or address on the website.

Okay i applied for a job, got a phone screen from a recruiter the recruiter was impressed with my skills, then the hiring manager set up a time for an interview. There was some issue with the position applying , the link that i used before closed therefore the recruiter had reached out to me again and told me to apply again for the position so she could move forward for the interview.

I confirmed the interview and even got a email saying it has been confirmed then i got an email from HR saying I’m no longer considered for the job? Wth? After they just set up an interview next week? Why was i screwed over like that?

And its not the one on Indeed that was apparently a scam, that was for another position at a reputable company..

@Katkats7777 I would suggest to follow up with the recruiter again to confirm the interview.  The HR email you received might be system generated in error.  I have seen this happened before.  Best of luck!

Don't go through recruiters. Do your own homework.

Completely depends on the industry you intend to work in, and your experience.

I imagine entry level restaurant jobs are a hard to come by at the moment.

My industry - finance / real estate related is booming, and I have been able to recently leverage the current market for a large promotion.

This question goes in line with looking for a job..

which looks better on a resume an associates degree or a certificate? should i do an AA degree and do certificates only count if someone already has a degree?
