This is a classic line, it comes in a few different versions... "It's me, not you. You deserve better" If you were that good she would not be dumping you. She switches it around to make herself look like the bad person, and there is nothing you can do in your defense but to go lower and beg, this would only lower your status and reaffirms her decision to dump you.

I see this as you had oneitus… Eyes only for her, she could do no wrong.... You lusted too long, you worked too hard to get her, you had her sitting all pretty on that pedestal as you waited for her... She jumped ship to see what it was like, you promised so much. Once on board she found you were a easy push over. The short time with you proved she really wanted a strong man, that was not you.

She wants to put you back as an orbiter, to keep feeding her ego and give her validation. She dumped you so she doesn't care for you, it's all what you can give her. 

Same old saying, only believe what you see, not what you hear.... She had you eating out of her hand, with lines like this one:

Yes, you were the rebound relationship. But she also played you by saying all the sweet things you wanted to hear, while she used you to get over her ex.... She has zero concern for you or your feelings, it is all about her and her feelings...
