Agree, watch out for scammers. Never heard of needing 12 jobs for an application.

I know that the company is real because my friend use to work for them, and I know the building in my city.  But if the website is a scam, I am not sure. I will look into it.

There is an agency that helps me get jobs because I am autistic.  I worked a few jobs they got for me so far, but a few of those jobs over the years was working in the freezing cold winter, and I found it hard, and it was giving me digestion problems as well.

They just got me another job interview, and I went to the interview found out it is going to working in the freezing cold again, and with required overtime, which makes working in the cold even worse of course.  So I feel like turning the job down now, but they really want me to take it, and do not want me to turn it down, since they helped get it for me and all.  It's only a seasonal job until July, but I honestly do not feel I can make it in the cold with overtime so far.  They said they may want me to work 84 hours a week some weeks, but I know that from past jobs, if they want you to work overtime some weeks, that means every week, you always find out after you take it.

I usually do not mind overtime, but it's just having to do in the freezing cold at possibly  84 hours a week does not sound good.  What do you think?  Should I take it because they helped me get the opportunity and it's only seasonal for about for months?

They pay is also only a little over minimum wage, and I feel that working 84 hours a week in the cold, I would feel better about doing it if the way was higher, but am I being too self-entitled?

You need to ask the agency to find you jobs indoors.  You should not have to work outside if you do not want to.  84 hours a week sounds excessive.  I guess you are in the 'States where there does not seem to be much employee protection.

You could also ask the agency why they keep finding you jobs where you have to work out in the cold.  Surely they have other jobs they could offer you?  You seem very literate so why not look at office jobs?

Regarding the form, if it requires something to be put in those extra boxes then you could type 'not applicable' - hopefully it will accept that.  If it will not, then it sounds like there is a problem with the form, not with the way you are filling it out.  I would contact the company or whoever manages the form and ask them how to proceed, say you are keen to get this application in as the job really appeals to you.  It gives you chance to speak to them and make yourself known.

Good luck with your application!

Is this social services or disability related job placements?

If this agency is helping you find jobs, go through them to get through the red tape.

There is a job agency where I live that helps people out with disabilities that has gotten me jobs in the past.  But they always get me jobs that are difficult to do because I have work out in the freezing cold for most of the jobs.  And there is a lot of required overtime in those jobs, so even if I dress warm I still feel really cold and it causes problems with my digestion if I work out there for over time in the weeks.

So after working five jobs like that, I want a job where I don't have to.  I told them after the second job in the freezing cold I told them I do not want another one where I have to work in the freezing cold for most of it, if not all of it.

The last job they got me in the freezing cold, I went to the interview found out I had to work in the freezing cold, and then I wanted to not take the job as a result.  But the agency called me three times in one after noon and kept perstering me to take it, so I gave in after the third phone call and took it.

Now on this new job they want me to take, after the interview, and found out I had to work out in the cold again, they kept pesturing me to take it and called twice in an hour trying to pressure me into it.

I don't know why they are so desperate for me to get a job, more than me, that they are wanting me to take such jobs.  If I turn one down because I feel like it's not for me, they will get so desperate and keep pesturing me again to take.  But I don't see why they are so desperate and take it so personally.  Is it because they tell me how good of a choice I am for the job, but then when I get the interview I may not want it after I find out more?

But I feel like from the agencies personal and frustrated pestering attitude, that they are taking this way too personally, and not professionally.  So I feel like maybe I should cut ties with them and just look for jobs on my own, without their assistance because they just cause me too much stress over it, with the jobs I have turned down lately, becaues I didn't want to be doing the same thing, after I kept telling them repetetively.

What do you think I should do?

What do you think I should do?

A few things to consider

1: When you take the job the agency gets its placement fee, hence them pestering you to take the jobs

2: You clearly stated that you do not want to work outside, they are not taking that into consideration, so its debatable if they are providing you with any service at all.

3: I would find another agency if possible.

I would look at the laws in your country which govern the way employment agencies can operate and use those a guide.
