You've got nothing to lose! I'll give it serious thought, but the last time I called a church, they started forcing their beliefs down my throat and I don't care for religion. If they want to help me as a person without forcing religion, aka do this or that, read this or that, then I'm all for it.

It that like a check to see if I have any terror intent or am hostile? Because if it's a mental thing then why are police in charge of that, especially the very corrupt police of Livingston parish. Anyway, thank you deeply for trying to help, but I don't get along with police at all, nor do I trust them.its because of past experiences with them. I have no idea. I live in a different state then you do & am not familiar with the laws or procedures where you are. Generally a wellness check is just that. Are you safe? Do you have adequate food & shelter? Can you access care if you need it. In your case, without mom, the answers are not really. You have explained that there are no social services where you. Many times when that is the case, the roll of a social worker falls on the shoulders of the (untrained for this) police. Ironically getting more health care workers in the field to address the needs of people like you is the core of the badly named Defund the Police Movement. I agree with you that you shouldn't have to consent to a violation of your 4th Amendment rights, prohibiting search & seizure & allowing you to be secure in your home by letting the police in your house, in order to access social services which are basic human rights -- food, transportation, medical care etc. But what else is there? I understand you are not religious but if your mom can no longer help you and you are incapable of helping yourself rejecting both the religious outreach & the albeit inadequate secular government approach is you cutting your nose off to spite your face. While none of the choices are ideal, you are going to have compromise somewhere. Only you know where that point may be. FWIW the Catholic Church doesn't generally quote the Bible at people nor do they make acceptance of their beliefs a condition of their assistance. Good Luck.

An unexpected event happened about two hours ago that worked in my favor so I will be ok now, for a while. Just so you know, I have been through the system all of my child and teen life and fought for years to get out because most of Louisiana's health care system is very corrupt. When I was in assisted living, my staff who took me to their house, usually had drugs present and I'm not speaking of prescribed ones. Most all assisted living companies I dealt with had some kind of illegal stuff going on. I'm don dealing with the healthcare system. One of the main reasons I avoid it because because when I did start doing martial arts to try to help me put my mind to work to get it off all the negatives of my life at that time, I used what I learned to both escape from one hospital and then for self defense against anyone who I felt was forcing me against my will. I'm well known to the state here, knows for being violent and hostile, at least that's what they have labeled me as because of how I acted while in assisted living. I am not, I am overly peaceful and have patients like a Buddhist monk, I am however 35 now, already half my life is over and i missed out on having a girlfriend then wife on the first half of my life. I would rather be shot and killed now, rather than waste the last and final part of my life without a girlfriend. I want to exp having a family and if i find out I cant, then well. In the words of Bert Gummer " I'll just walk out there..............BOOM! no more problem, lol. of course i am speaking metaphorically, but still, I refuse to live alone and die alone. Id take a Gaijin hunter at this point, lol.
d0nnivain
I'm glad whatever unexpected thing that happened will make you OK for a while. Still, finding a more permanent solution may be in your best interest. My friend, the lurker, found another resource for you: Florida Parishes Human Services Authority. www.fphsa.org He spoke to a woman there who said they can help, no visit from the cops required. They have the kinds of services you need: transportation, housing, employment & support. Please reach out to them to see if they can help you relocate somewhere that has more resources you can access, like just a grocery store. If you can come closer to a town when you can walk or take a ride share without losing your independence & your self protection, you will increase your odds of finding a GF. Nobody is going to want to drive out to the boonies or be trapped out there with you.

Having no tv, furniture to gain a car sounds better than having to stay locked up in this prison. At this point, and I know this is bad, lol I'd make a deal with the devil if he'd get me out of this prison style isolation I'm in.
