ezimena
Hi everyone!!🤗 I would like to hear your opinion on this story here: I met a guy last summer who was in my town (he was here visiting his family) but lives about 900 kilometers from me. We started writing and talking on the phone and met over a weekend in autumn. Nothing happened but we got along really well and the weekend was great. When we were both back home we started communicating more intensively, writing and talking on the phone. Our conversations sometimes lasted over two hours and I would say we had deep conversations. When the contact became less, I let go of the story, but he contacted me again and we started to have regular contact again. Because of the pandemic, we couldn't see each other because we both work and couldn't afford the quarantine, but we made plans. He confessed feelings to me and even brought up the subject of exclusivity not too long ago.  I mentally went along with it. He contacted consulates and other institutions himself to see if we could avoid the quarantine somehow, but nothing seemed possible. All this went on for over 10 months. I even offered to fly to him, but he said he would come here. When the travel restrictions were removed I asked him if he would come for the weekend (to visit his family and see me too) he said maybe. But at the same time he made the suggestion to travel somewhere in June, we talked for over two hours that day and he never mentioned with a word that he will be in my city. He also did not mention the other trip again. He put his phone away for a moment and I heard him say to his brother that they were leaving in the morning. I thought "oh either he wants to surprise me or I misheard". We hung up and the weekend came. He didn't contacted me during the weekend so I thought I heard wrong but suddenly I saw a post on social media from his cousin that he was in my town (I know his cousin, who lives 10 minutes from me by the way, from before). I thought maybe it was his brother though. The next day we texted and he called me and asked me out about my weekend and we talked briefly - when we talked about our weekend, my gut told me something was wrong. So I called him again and asked him if he had been here.Hesitantly he said yes and that he was only here for a short time and he said he would have told me anyway.  I was totally perplexed and just wished him all the best and hung up. I am still a bit shocked, but yes. I understood that he was just buttering me up the whole time and that I was a good conversation partner, during the lockdown. That's how I would see it. What do you guys say to that? Has anyone experienced anything similar? Have a lovely day!!

As long as you enjoyed a fun chat buddy all this time, no harm done. This wasn't a relationship so you both were always and still are free to do whatever you want. Perhaps this will give you the closure you needed to get out of a cyber fantasy. Delete and block him and all his people from ALL your social media and messaging apps. Lesson learned. Date local available guys who you can build a real in person relationship with.
