Honestly I would love to, but I have to consider the health and wellbeing of my cat as well. He's older and didn't cope with moving too well in the first instance, so I don't want to put him through that again. This is a great house for him and me otherwise. In an ideal scenario, she will leave instead as I shouldn't have to pack up everything and move again when she's the one causing issues.

This crazy roommate is putting you at risk of getting robbed, or worse.  She is forcing you to live in a filthy, dirty house and unable to maintain a normal household. Staying in this unsafe situation just because of your cat sounds kind of irrational.  If you get robbed, your cat could get lost.  Did you consider that?  And I am a cat person; I have several cats and I would do anything for them.  Cats can adjust to a move.  This irresponsible roommate can leave your door open and cause your cat to get lost or any number of other things to happen.  She is a liability.

Yeah I have considered that, I too would do anything for my cat and he's one of my main priorities in this situation hence why I'm reluctant to put him through anymore stress. But if she continues to flout safety measures and boundaries I will have to consider moving again. It's just such a pain to deal with after only 3 months of being here and getting settled in. It was hard enough the first time around when I didn't have a choice but to leave my old place, so choosing to do it again is a big hurdle for me.
