mortensorchid
Two strange things happened tonight. Here is the story: A friend of mine is leaving for Idaho next week. She works for a theater company and is going out to Idaho for the summer at another theater out there, she's been doing this for many years. She posted on Facebook that she was having a small party in her backyard and was sending a general shout out that all were invited who read this. I came by with my cooler of cold drinks and my lawn chair and was rather surprised to see this woman who I'd fallen out with in the backyard around the fire pit. About 7 or 8 years ago she snubbed me. Long story short, she and her baby daddy broke up. He reached out to me on Facebook as he was working at a restaurant nearby house which has since closed down. Once or twice we met up for drinks - nothing happened - but ... I said I had seen something on Facebook where she went somewhere when she said she was actually going to another place to him (with their son); then he told me he was attracted to me and I said no because she was my friend and I wouldn't go there. Plus he had three kids with three different women and I REALLY wasn't going to be #4. Apparently there was some exchange between her and him after that. She would block me on Facebook but I saw her at some event a bit after that and she publicly snubbed me. That hurt but hey I wasn't dumb enough to post when I shouldn't have... So I see her there and I was ready for her to snub me again, this was the first time I had seen her in 7 or 8 years. And she hugs me. I was surprised. She said to me the same thing everyone says to me "You look like Hilary Swank". I said thank you. What else can you say? And that was the extent of our interaction for the night. Strange... And the other. There was this one guy I was hoping would show up, I see him once every few years at this same gal's parties. I reached out to him through Facebook after not seeing / talking to him in two years. I asked him teo years ago of he had a gf and he said yes he did. I thought about reaching out again in case he showed up and he said no he wouldn't be there but have fun. I didn't say anything to that response. I sat down and chatted with others but remained fairly silent. Home now, will forget that guy and rather confused. Am I wrong?
