Did I botch things up?

I am a teacher getting by with gigging jobs - driving instructor, substitute, and recess monitor in a Catholic school nearby.  I am also a building substitute at said Catholic school and have subbed for them a few times last year.  In general, things are/were good.  I even got one of the principals to sign the non tax license that I require to teach full time after 6 years of struggling to find someone to do so.  But that's another story...

Said Catholic school put out an ad for a full time teaching position a week or two ago and I answered it.  I have had no response.  Yesterday I got a text from one of the two principals (not the one who signed the license) asking if I plan to continue on as a sub with them for next year, I answered yes I was.  She responded with "Thank you! Have a great summer!".  And today I sent her a text asking "Hi (name) per chance have you looked at the candidates for the teaching position you have open?"  She responded almost immediately saying "Yes we have interviewed several folks over the last two weeks and have verbally offered the position to our top candidate. SHe is meeting with (name) and (name) tomorrow."  I responded with simply "Ah ok thanks".

I fear I may have screwed things up with her/them.  I also got a second copy of that same text which she may have sent by mistake as a form letter.  But ... I have already accepted another position as a literacy aide through AmeriCorps but I am not sure if it will be 5 days a week yet.  If so I want to stay there as a recess monitor for at least one day a week or as a sub.  Did I botch things up?

I am not sure what you mean when you ask if you have botched things up.  What exactly are you worried about now?  Not being able to continue as a sub there?  It's clear you didn't get the full time teaching job, so the only option now would be to continue as a sub there.  I'm sure you can explain the situation that you've accepted another position but you're not sure what the schedule is, and you would like to remain a sub with them if your schedule allows.
