She's Always in a Hurry

With curfew and all. She has to be home at 6 in the evening, which is unbelievably early for her age (she's 30).

I'm already all set with her... like she's the very person I want to be for the rest of my life. And she's becoming more and more beautiful as the days go by. She's not perfect. But I feel that there's strong potential for romance.

It's just that I can't go past "holding her hands" which lasts only 5 seconds or so.

She has confided in me that she's looking into me as a potential partner and we've dated several times I lost count. And she texts me all the time. Like all the time. Despite her busy schedules.

But we haven't done anything romantic at all. When I look her in the eye, for example, she'd ask, "why are you doing that?" lol when it's a given right? My ex and I did a lot of staring back in the day which always ended up in PDAs and lots of kissing and hugging.

She's different. More uptight. More restrictions. More reservations.

😐

How long have you been dating? Is she religious? Or from a more conservative culture than yours?

Is this the same woman?:

If someone looked at me in the eye like that without reason, I'd wonder if he had dementia or was trying to remember something. Try not to compare her to your ex. Does she laugh when she's with you or do you enjoy your time out with each other? Are you bored or frustrated? If the restrictions and curfews are too limiting, you'll have to figure out if you want to spend more time with someone who has those limitations.

We've been dating since May. We met each other through Tinder and immediately, after a few days, we met. Dated several times after that. Yes, same woman.

Yes, she's very conservative. Ultra conservative. Lol.

Yes, we laugh all the time. She's funny. Lol. I'm not bored but I am frustrated. Things are taking so slowly with her. I still want to spend more time with her but I want to know how to figure things out... like how do I convince her to spend more time with me...

May, June, July is only three months so be patient if she's conservative or likes to take things slow. You can't really force these things. Are you expecting her to spend evenings with you? I'm not very sure what you're asking. So far it seems she's into you, you're into her and you're having a good time.

Is it possible that her being as conservative is why you like her so much?

Ok there may be no hankypanky until you're serious. Have you met each other's family or friends?

Uhhhmmmm... I like her for other reasons. Her being conservative is something I need to adjust to. But, yes, she's a good catch. :)

I'm still not ready to meet her family. She told me her father would grill me if I do. 😐

See how it goes then and enjoy your time together. If you are too scared to meet her family, what makes you think you’re a catch(to her)? And why should she invest or spend more time with you?

I don't want to brag lol but here it goes...

In terms of career, mine is one of the hardest --- I'm a litigation lawyer. My pre-law was accountancy where I graduated cum laude in one of the best schools in the nation. In law school, I was always on dean's list and went to the most prestigious law school in the country.

I've been in practice for four years and it's really doing well. I was able to afford an expensive car.

Aside from being accomplished in my field/s, I'm a good writer and poet. I also write songs.

As for the appearance, I look good --- I won the Mr Photogenic award in a pageant back in the day.

When it comes to moral principles, I'm honest and transparent. I'm also generous and kind. I have advocacies too --- I help typhoon victims and I am an environmentalist.

Slow down.  You met her off Tinder & have only known her for 4 months.  At this point you are only getting to know each other.  It's years too soon to be talking about the rest of your life.

Is this a cultural thing, that a 30 year old woman has a 6 p.m. curfew?  If it's not, there is something seriously wrong here.  My 1st thought is she has to go pick up her kids from day care & bring them home to their father

Is this the girl that's a doctor?  If so, why is she still living home with her parents and has a curfew?

A 6 p.m. curfew and no romance after two months of "dating" makes it seems like she is either living with or in a relationship with someone else.  Can you explain a bit more about why a 30 year old woman has a 6 p.m. curfew?

That’s good. You’re confident. What is it about her dad particularly that scares you?

I agree with the others to give it more time and be patient. Things will unfold on their own. You don’t have to rush this. Just treat each other with respect and kindness, the way you want to be treated. The relationship will speak for itself.
