'Marriage in Crisis' to Hopeless77

Hopeful77,

I read your story dated back in July and now I'm gonna be quick.

Clemson is right...Forever is a romantic notion...it takes consummate work on oneself and a whole lot of factors in this day and age for "till death do us part".

1. You are Courageous.

Lao Tzu, "Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage."

2. Believe it or not, the worst is over, you are in charge of your life now, and where and with whom you go is UP to YOU.

3. Focus on YOU. Your needs, wants, and desires. Not on someone else, but the ideal of what you envision then work towards it. For instance, if your wife was sweet, kind, a good listener, fun, compassionate, then focus on those qualities, practice it, and hone your skills toward it, and you will see the change you want in your life. It takes faith, optimism, strength. The third I know you have, the first two you must cultivate.

I lacked the first...still do. I grew up in a broken family, we were immigrants, English was a second language. My dad hit my older sister and she hit me, from 5 to 18.

But we had a roof over our heads, a great school district, moved to the country with money and WORKED OUR ASSES OFF. You seem to have that drive. Put that power, believe and focus towards YOURSELF, then you will attract good and like kind. Nothing replaces hard work.

There will always be challenges, hardships, breakups, and loss, people who are petty, weak, jealous, and bad. So this focusing on your health, your attributes, your strengths, and the core goodness that is in all of us Will Not Be Easy.

In the end Hopeful...you decide the trajectory of your life, by your believes, thoughts and actions.

Don't like others take that away from you anymore.

I would love to hear about your journey ahead. There is good in the world, and people behind you.

You know we struggle with each hard-earned step, we forget to look back at the astonishing distance we've traveled behind us.

Write down all that you have overcome, accomplished, created, experienced and you will realize there is nothing different from you than the next person.  Each one of us has a voice, and a purpose.

I hope to hear what you'll find.  Touch back here, ok? I'll be waiting and hoping for nothing but the best.

-H
