Loulou1234
Hi, I have been with someone for 8 years and I feel so depressed, I am hanging on for a bit of security at the moment and it’s made me feel so vulnerable. I do want to stay with him but I don’t see a future right now Edited August 19, 2021 by a LoveShack.org Moderator clarify title

Happy Lemming
I think we need a little more information... How old are the two of you?? What do you mean by a future?? Marriage?? Kids?? House with a white picket fence?? Would you be depressed if you weren't in this relationship and by yourself??

What is it you're hoping for? If it's commitment marriage family etc. and he's just coasting along you're wasting your life away. Don't hang on as a security blanket or "waiting" for someone to want what you want. 7 hours ago, Loulou1234 said: I have been with someone for 8 years and I feel so depressed,

Is it possible that you have depression? Have you consulted a physician? A counsellor at the university?
