Give her time to find an appropriate phone plan (anyone can find excellent plans for ($30-50/mo.) and make her aware that you can not pay her health insurance premiums. Then she can budget accordingly. You should not be controlling these aspects of someone's life anyway. As far as her injury, see what happens.
Els
You should stop paying for other things if you don't want to. But if she fell and injured herself on your property, helping you to do renovations on that property... heck yeah if I were you I'd pay her entire medical bill. Besides the fact that frankly it's just the right thing for you to do, even if she was a friend and not a romantic partner... I don't know what the laws are where you live, but you could get into a nasty lawsuit there. The main takeaway from this is that in the future, maybe you should pay people who actually have professional insurance to do your renovation for you, or do it yourself. Getting a friend or boyfriend/girlfriend to do potentially risky work for you without any work/accident insurance "saves money", sure... until an accident happens.
