Sorry if this is not the right forum to post on. I think I’m Beautiful and I’m and average sized maybe a bit curvy. Why did he have to fat shame me. He could have just said nothing at all man :( ruined my whole day. If I’m
Not attracted to someone I simply unmatch or something. No need to be an rude and fat shame. He called me fat and disgusting ugh.  And I’m not even that fat. Not like it matters. I don’t see why men have the need to put women down. I get we all have preferences but if you are not interested in someone politely unmatched or say nothing at all! If he thought I was to fat he could have just not responded to my message. This makes me not want to not try online dating again.

What can I say? Internet is full of rude, crude and offensive people. Don't take it personally. This is not about you at all, this is about him venting out his frustrations and insecurities.

What i try to think about when i have been bullied and fat shaming is a form of bullying as is gas lighting......

for the first part the bullying often people who are bullied themselves become a bully.......i really dont know why this happens but its common, i feel and guess its like violence begets violence ...verbal abuse begets verbal abuse.....so when someone is really mean and nasty to me i try to feel that they may have been abused themselves......and this is how they end up being....nasty

as far as gas lighting goes .......sometimes people want you to feel lower than they feel...because they are pretty darn low........

sometimes people fat shame because they dont like different it scares them......or do they really understand differences in body mind or spirit to allow them to feel a common thread of sameness............

sometimes people are just bad people who like to hurt others.....some people have mental illnesses that make them say and do things that arent polite or acceptable......

i've been humiliated a few times.....more than a few...

what i do know...is its not my issue...its theirs......

ive never really reported anyone for anything.....because that would mean i took it to heart......i let very few mean things get through to my heart...because i know who i am ...i know im good hearted and i protect what is good.............my heart......

protect yours ...know who you are stand tall....and love that person that is you....mean people dont let them get to your heart.......try to soften your heart to those mean people....doesnt mean talk to them.....and dont let them in...but this thought might not be popular ...try to soften your heart by remembering everyone even trolls and nasties might have  a story...that makes them ...behave nastily after all....they could be more like a ....product of their environment......and those issues and lives they have led or lead...........may be harder to deal with ....than a few horrible names....i have talked trolls around....not an easy experience........been friends with the unfriendly and friendless.......and its a hard slog and not for everyone.....silence works wonders too.........i wish you peace..........deb

Some people say awful things to other human beings.  I don't know why some people are like they are, but it sucks.

For what it's worth, it's 100 percent a reflection upon him.  Nobody, regardless of what they look like, should be shamed for something like how they look.

I truly believe there is "a lid for every pot".  I've dated women of all sizes and I found the "curvy" women to be less uptight (more relaxed) and happier.

Curvy women don't starve themselves to the point that they are "hangry" (all the time).  Moreover, they don't get all "nutty" if they eat something (fun, but unhealthy) at a restaurant or enjoy an ice cream sundae after dinner.

As for the person that "fat shamed" you, people put down other people to make themselves feel better.  So apparently this person has his own issues, isn't confident in his appearance and feels better putting other people down vs. fixing himself.

Wow, that's all kinds of messed up. I'm so sorry you had that happen to you.

Don't let him sour you to putting yourself out there to meet someone. Not all men are like this simian.

You don't even know this person. It could be someone mentally ill. It could be your ex pretending to be someone else trying to get you off the dating site. Men have never told me anything bad about my looks and they could have. Here and there some moron makes some stupid sexual comment, but that's it. Something is not right in your case, so if I were you, I wouldn't let it ruin my day. Curvy is popular now and if you are satisfied with your looks, then who cares what some creep on the internet says?

Yup, this is really the question. Why does the OP care about this random?

That's what they call a troll. Possibly related them having a personality disorder. Normal people wouldn't do that. There are those who wish to remain as miserable people. Don't sweat it, just one person being a jerk...a lonely jerk at that.

I can relate to that. Because she is a human being who has feelings. She is not made out of steel. She might be secure and comfortable with herself but it doesn't mean that she is not going to get upset when someone comments rudely on her looks. Words do hurt. Even if they come from some internet stranger. Not that she should care much but it does sting when someone puts you down, especially for no apparent reason.
