Wink
There is this [flatmate] I find attractive but as he is 10 years younger than me , I have not paid him much attention till now. He teases me playfully a lot, he shares music with me, specially romantic songs, I have met three of his closest friends and he made a comment there was only one left for me to meet. One time I saw he looked a bit down and I asked him if he needed a hug which to my surprise he quickly said yes. Another time we were watching a movie and he kept making noises with his hands. In order to stop him I asked if I could hold his hand and again to my surprise he quickly did. it is all in my imagination or does this guy like me? I know there is an age gap but we are both adults. I have not been in a relationship for quite some time and I am feeling both anxious but excited at the same time. Edited February 26, 2022 by a LoveShack.org Moderator

How do you know him? Whatever it is, don't date roommates or co-workers because things can get awkward. Get a good profile and pics on quality dating apps and start talking to and meeting single men you don't live with or work with in your age group . It's ok to have a crush, but don't hit on people. glows
I got excited as it began to sound like a new set of cutlery for the kitchen but realized you were talking about your flatmate. Why was he feeling down? He seems vulnerable, a strange and slightly awkward type of flirty but there’s not much here to go on.  Edited February 26, 2022 by glows

I teased him a bit when I said if he needed a cuddle not expecting he would say yes. The same when I asked to hold his hand and he quickly took mine. I am a bit naive when it comes to flirting and specially body language of younger guys. I know it would not be a serious relationship and I am totally fine with it but the more time I spend with him the more I like him. I guess I want to know if he likes me back so I know where I stand before I decide to make a move or not. I will be moving out of the flat soon as I am wanting my own space so that should make things less awkward?

When I’m with someone it’s magnetic and mutual so we gravitate towards one another and it’s usually hot from the start. You have some idea he’s interested but aren’t sure so personally that’s an automatic turn off. I don’t perceive vulnerabilities in a person as a green light. I get the sense that he’s not sure of himself or lacks confidence and I’ve never found this attractive. If you like him be a bit more affectionate but this really shouldn’t be like pulling teeth.
aloneagain63
tough to say.  Sounds like he has made no move on you.  I'd say he might have baited you on the feeling down day, just to see where it would go.  The deal with the hands making sounds though, how could he have known that you would ask to hold his hands? IF HE IS BAITING YOU, it appears to be working. You seem willing to procede so have fun with it. You have made 2 efforts to help/get close to him. At some point he has to make some sort of move to procede farther. It would be difficult for anyone to be more shy than I was for many years but even I would have taken the reins to move this into another level after the cuddling session.
