To answer your question about the age gap - it's not the number of years in and of itself, but the fact that you're both as different points of your lives. My partner is 14 years older than me. We met when I was 34 and he was 48 (we're now 41 and 55, respectively) We'd both had enough experience in our pasts know what we wanted, and were looking for something serious in each other. We share(d) the same lifestyles and goals, and were already more settled in our lives. This young woman, though, is in college. It's ripe with new experiences and new people and not the ideal candidate for a guy already in his 30s. So while 8 years isn't that much in the grand scheme of things, where you're both at in life is. This is going to best left behind you. 1 Link to post Share on other sites
