joel Posted October 22, 2005 Share Posted October 22, 2005 have u guys ever encountered relatives who were all arugmentative, controlling, get argumentative about very small tiny things and gets mad easily and very controlling , but when it comes to outsiders like strangers, freinds and aquitances hes like they nice , u first, passive, quiet, shy type- yea the doctor jeyll and hyde kind of person. well my dad is like that with my family and me- we are all grown up too- all of us are in our 20's-no making enough to move out-college or minimum wage and low paying jobs . hes like that to my mom too. even just going out for too long like 4 hrs hes like going crazy, he for some reason likes his wife and kids to just stay at home-read newspaper and study. no going out. gets mad easily over spilled milk, and would get a big tantrum like for 1 hr yelling like it was the end of his life or something and scolding my mom or us for some screw up-very small things,ex mowing the lawn -maybe not getting every cut right, not hammering the nail right in .....examples. "ya now why can;t u do it right, no wonder jsut sit and sit and ppl down study that hard and get A's but u stay and study and get C plus whats with you" -this said it harsh harsh scolding tones. kind of like verbal abuse u can say in a way outsiders hes the biggest wimp- tenants don't pay up -hes like ok mr smith thats ok, all passive and nice, just going with his way and letting outsiders be the boss. you guys ever encounter ppl like that and what do u do about it, why is he like that, any pscycolgy reasons-are asian parents like this- we are chinese Link to post Share on other sites
