how to approach her naturally

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone. There is this girl in my English class that I like. We're both freshmen at a huge university. I'm asian and speak pretty good english she's american. I talked to her like three times, got to know a few things about her. The problem is, the only times I could talk to her are after class. Once I went up to her and said hi and then I followed her to the parking lot, talking on the way. It was a pretty good conversation. We talked about basic stuff like classes and places we live. She smiled or laughed sometimes...anyway I forgot to ask for her number. On the way however she met one friend from high school and then the other...maybe I should have said bye cuz I failed to join their conversation but I didn't. Uh...last time we both left class pretty late. I slowed down on purpose to talk to her but I felt really stupid about that and the first thing i said was "where are you going" which was lame. Then I asked about her classes again which I had asked about every time.I was afraid she would think I was a weird stalker or something so I said bye right at the exit before she was even finished. Honestly, she's always patient answering my every question and then asks me something back, although it's been me who initiated these talks. There's only two classes a week. What should I do to approach her more naturally?

you are thinking too much. just approach her and make small talk... like you would to your friends.... you are already putting her on a pedestal...take her down from there. you need to talk to her more before just asking her for the phone number... you have time because you are taking a class together... find out if she is right for you. remember you are the prize.

Thanks for the reply. I think you're right that I shouldn't be thinking too much or put her too high...I do want to point out that the class will be over in December. There's not a whole of time.

if you have an opportunity to invite a group of people from your class somewhere, see if she comes along . . . that could show her interest level in you. then take it from there . . .

good luck
