ms.stressed
Has anyone dated someone married? I was n a relationship with someone with kids...it didn't work out. I didn't like the drama. Is it ever okay wot date a married man? I don't want to break up a relationship or come in between one. I'd rather walk away. What are your thoughts on dating someone who's dating someone else? Wiseman2
Love triangles are the fastest and surest way to be hurt and a lot of headaches and heartaches, rather than the joy, love and comfort a trusting real relationship can bring.

What are your thoughts on dating someone who's dating someone else? Well, as with everything, it depends. Does his wife know and approve? Do they have an open or poly relationship and will she meet with you to confirm it? Are they separated (yet still married) and moving towards divorce? In those particular circumstances, I'd say it's completely fine to date him, otherwise, find someone unattached so you don't contribute to destroying a marriage, even though he might do so with someone else. I know. I can't respect a man who cheats on his wife. I just can't respect him. If he's separate, I understand, but not someone whose married and using all excuses as to why he's cheating. Leave them... I can't respect a woman who'd date a married man. I just think they're desperate for someone.
mark clemson
So you wouldn't respect yourself if you were dating a man in an open marriage? I guess I'm wondering why you asked the question, since you seem to have clear-cut views? I don't think other people can broaden your horizons to include more potential partners (if that's what you're actually looking for here) - that has to come from inside you. The straightforward thing to do, of course, is to date single people. But everyone already knows that. Which begs the question of why you asked the above. basil67
I'm wondering what's behind the question. Are you considering doing this? Or is the question about judging the behaviour of others. Also, one doesn't "date" a married person. Rather, they 'have an affair' or 'cheat with' a married person. To phrase it as 'dating' is like trying to make the whole thing sound legitimate.

It's definitely not dating.
