Would appreciate some advice please.

I want to ask a few different women out, one is a receptionist at the gym, one works at a coffee shop and one works at McDonald's.

I have no trouble talking to women and think that they might be into me based on how they look at me however I don't know if it's a good idea to ask them while they are working (this is the only time I see them).

What do you guys think, should I ask and if so how would I go about it and what would I say, they are never alone they are always with colleagues.

Thanks

I’m sure it happens every day. I wouldn’t and I wouldn’t like it if someone did that while I was working. There’s a lot of gray area here.

There was another poster who was thrown out and banned from a restaurant due to harassment of an employee. Just be careful not to make anyone uncomfortable.

I asked my daughter about this when she was working retail.  She says that there's an imbalance of power when a guy asks the service girl out because she can't block him or walk away.  However, she did suggest that giving her your number as you leave would be acceptable because it gives the power back to her

I think I have been a late developer with the ladies simply because I never had the confidence in my younger days to do what your suggesting there,

So yes Id say definitely give it a try- win or lose it will make you stronger!

Are there any better opportunities to meet women? For example joining clubs and groups, volunteer, taking some classes and courses? This way you can develop rapport without trying to pick random women up.

And don't forget adding a good profile and pics on quality dating apps to your dating strategy.

The problem with this approach is that these women get hit on all the time and they're forced to be friendly to you so you can't really assess the situation.

Keep in mind they're there to get a paycheck and keep their jobs. They're not in a singles club looking for men to date.

Unfortunately not, I'm either working or with my daughter who lives with me.

Is this more of a casual encounter or are you looking for someone to possibly develop things with long term?

Well I am obviously attracted to them and would just like to casually date, if things got serious then I'm open to that too.

That’s reasonable. It’s usually not advisable asking someone out at their workplace, especially in retail. Since you have no time for much else I’m curious how you’d find time to date.

I think the alternatives offered were quite good. Let us know how it goes.

Thanks, if I was dating I have family who could look after my daughter one or two nights a week, so I think it could work. Think I might just try talking to them first to try and see if they like me.
