Because that is flawed thinking. If someone wants you only when you make yourself scarce, there is no basis for a real relationship. Again, a waste of time. If she were truly interested in you, you would not feel compelled to "take a big step back." You're spinning your wheels because you know the interest is not really mutual and you're trying to find ways to hang on a little longer. It's time to move on. Find a woman who makes her interest clear and is excited to see you regularly. 2
