basil67
The only lenders who would approve this are unethical lenders who specialise in high risk lending. The kind who employ heavies to get back any money which you couldn't repay on time. Also they would charge an extraordinary amount of interest and likely leave you worse off than you are now. It would be far more sensible to get your finances in order and save up for the purchases you want.
glows
Depends how “bad” and how you’ve arrived here. Speak with your local credit counselling society if you have one or a credit counsellor. Look at ways to consolidate any debt. If you have filed for bankruptcy or a consumer proposal you should have been advised of methods to improve your credit to get back in shape and avoid relapsing. Regardless there usually is a way out if you’re committed to changing. There is no shame in asking for help.

Do you pay rent and other bills in time and regularly? Do you have other credit cards and accounts that you pay on time? Talk to someone at a bank about improving your finances. The only way to get a credit card with poor credit is having a cosigner, which is a bad idea. Why do you need a credit card? Do you have a debit card to pay bills? Weezy1973
Some financial institutions will issue secured credit cards. For example, if you lock in $600 dollars in a GIC you can secure a credit card with a $500 limit. If you make sure the credit card is paid off every month and your credit score starts to improve, they’ll release your security after a couple of years. It’s actually a pretty good way to improve your credit.
