Keeves1
Hey! We talked about taking coffe together after she is done with work but she said that she could not stay long because she has to take her dog out. Is walking with her dog a good first date options? Kinda curious to hear other people’s opinions on this 🤔 Edited August 31, 2023 by a LoveShack.org Moderator
Gaeta
Yes absolutely! I was a dog owner when I was dating and I often offered (for a first meeting) we go for a walk and I'd bring my dog along. If you don't like dogs you don't date me, it was that simple. Also, my dog was home alone all day while I was working so going on a date right after work without the opportunity to go back home to walk my dog was very very stressful to me, I could not concentrate I kept feeling like a bad doggy-mom, and the date was really short!

If the coffee works out, you can ask her out again. Try not to drag out first meetings. She was trying to indicate that she can't stay long, not that she wants to walk dogs together. 1

But if he offers to make her life easier by going on a walk later with her, he will win many many points!!
Author Keeves1
Hehe yes to what Gaeta wrote 🙌 I just thought it would be stressful for her to not walk her dog out and instead sit in a coffe bar. I can imagine that dog owners have a routine for when they walk their dogs out

She agreed to meet in a public place like a coffee bar for a limited time on the first meet which is perfectly sensible. She did not agree to a complete stranger coming to her house to walk her dog with her. Please stick with what she agreed to. Try to read between the lines. She mentioned this in order to have an endpoint to the meeting. What's the rush? If you like her you can always ask her out again.

Author Keeves1
Yes! That’s the plan to meet her in a park I don’t think she would let me in either Wiseman I’m fully aware that the first date with Aurora may or may not be short but is it not normal? For some people it takes 5-6 dates or more to get to know the person. I could always ask for the second date later 🙌
Alpacalia
Absolutely! She's interested in keeping the date concise, and her choice to take her dog for a walk indicates her desire for a shorter outing. Was there an invitation for you to join her on the dog walk? If not, it's a great idea to let her enjoy her dog walk and then reconnect with her afterward to discuss arranging another date in case the initial one goes well. Walking and conversing while exploring the surroundings can be quite enjoyable. However, on a first date, the focus is typically on investing more time in getting acquainted and discerning whether the prospect of future meetings holds promise. Could it be that she'll meet you for coffee, quickly head home to grab her dog, and then rendezvous with you at the park? If so, smart approach that shows her enthusiasm for spending time together while still taking care of her furry friend. Edited August 30, 2023 by Alpacalia

I'll meet her at the park and then we will see where the first date take us too But yes she does seem enthusiastic!

glows
Probably in the minority here and don’t care for walking my dog with anyone else. That is not the point however. If she asked you to walk her dog with her she obviously is interested in your company while walking her dog. How about grabbing coffees to go and enjoying a walk together with her dog?
