Is it something that needs to be shared with the other if done? I’ve viewed porn single before, but don’t know the rules when it comes to a relationship. The distance element makes it hard when it comes to the sexual side.

Have you met in person? How long have you been talking/dating? There are really no "rules" about what you do in private. Is there a reason you wish to share this in the relationship?

Personally, I think it’s fine for either partner to watch porn in any relationship - as long as it’s not done to excess or at the expense of the relationship. I don’t know that it needs to be shared, I do believe that it’s ok to have some privacy in a relationship. As long as you are a loving and respecting partner, I wouldn’t have a problem with occasional porn use. Depending on your partner - some couples will even watch porn together. 1
