moonstar Posted November 10, 2005 Share Posted November 10, 2005 background: we dated for three months (summer and early fall). She started to distance herself in the final two weeks of dating. Basically, she freaked out because we were getting too close emotionally, she said she was feeling really uncomfortable, that she couldn't sustain such a close relationship. She broke it off over the phone. I went into no contact IMMEDIATELY to deal with my hurt feelings, and to also not make an idiot out of myself by chasing her after she ended it. I haven't called, emailed, sent letter or texts, or contacted her in ANY way at all. I did 100% no contact. (It was killer hard) This week, on Tuesday I saw her at a cafe. We exchanged hellos, then she initiated a conversation. I kept my answers short, 'yes' 'no' 'okay'. She told me that she would have some free time this weekend, and that she would like to get together with me, I said sure, then she said she'd call me to confirm. Okay, so it's now Thursday, and she hasn't called yet. My head is spinning with the possibilities of why she hasn't called yet. Was she was just dangling a carrot to see if I was still interested in her? Could I have a chance here? Is she still interested? Did she change her mind already?
