mills22 Posted November 14, 2005 Share Posted November 14, 2005 I met this girl through one of my friends about a month ago.. we started talking and exchanged phone numbers.. So we started hanging out (going to clubs, movies, etc.). After a couple of weeks, we started becoming a lot more intimate and ended up in bed together. She started talking about wanting to get more serious with me, asking me out. (She had gotten out of a four-year relationship about 4 months ago and I had gotten out of a 1-year relationship about a month ago.) I gave her an answer about a week later, which confused her a little; I just needed that week to think about it. So, we became official. After just a week, she decides to break up with me and tells me that she thought she was ready for a new relationship but she really wasn't. She said she wanted to get to know me better before she wanted to be in a relationship with me. I am just confused by the whole thing, because I don't understand how she could change her mind so quickly. I really like her and would like to be in a relationship with her, to give it a second chance. She is just used to knowing someone for longer before going out with them, because she knew her bf since she was a kid. So, she still wants to be friends with me and hang out with me like the way we used to. The problem is, she says she wants to get to know me better, however she almost never tries to attempt to contact me, I almost always have to initiate contact with her. I am wondering if I should just cut off all contact completely with her. Or should I tell her how I feel and see what happens from there? I really don’t want to push her into it or make it seem like I am desperate. Or, should I just continue on like were still friends and wait it out? Any advice would be helpful.
