Once a cheater, always a cheater?

Sami D and Cecelius, thank you for your input. I have talked to him a lot about it and am trying my best to understand. I believe that if you feel the need to cheat (or go through with it), than you should just break up with the person. His reasoning is that they were really good friends & even though he didn't love her like a girlfriend, it was "convenient" for him to stay with her.

jayhawkgirl,

i THINK but i am not entirely sure, that men do find it easier to be with somebody long term for different reasons. as a woman, i dont think i could be with somebody long term who i didnt love, and i dont know any women that have, but i do know of several men who have been.

whilst it doesnt excuse cheating completely, he seems to see a difference between the relationships and will treat you differently because of that. if he was an out and out liar he probably would not have told you anything at all in the first place. also people can change, and often do.

You are right, he stepped up to the plate and was totally open with me. I should be thankful for that. But now I'm just paranoid!

And as far as judging me by my past behavior...another thing plaguing our relationship is the number of people I have slept with. (Even though his number is more), he is really bothered by it because supposedly other girls he has dated seriously have only been with one person aside from him.

So, this is the same thing...I was honest with him but now he is really upset about it. How can we forget each other's pasts so we can get on with our future?

First of all NEVER ever NEVER reviel your number to any man. Its not a fair system and it will never be a fair system Women get offered D*ck every day okay, men just don't know the half. Second you don't know and neighther does he how many men these other women he's dated been with. tell him thats just not a thred he wants to pull at, at this point in time.

Look I say the two of you call it even and move on and if he can't and if you don't want to then cut him loose.
