a4a
would imagine I am not alone in this. How many of us are spending the holidays where we never would by choice, but do so to please family or friends? 1.Where are you heading for festivities? 2.Why don't you want to be there? 3.Where would you rather be? 4. What was the dumbest/best excuse you used to get out of such a gathering? ************************************************** 1. Supposed to be going to friends house for TG, (husbands friend). (still trying to get out of it) 2. Screaming kids, wife that licks the spoons and puts back in food...then serves food (I will not eat the food), other guest is lonely guy that drinks too much and whines about not having a woman, too close of quarters for that many/kind of people, wife does head to toe scope out of all females. ( I do like the mother of the wife......she is a hoot! so one positive thing. Husbands friend is also funny as hell.) 3. Would rather be home maybe watching a movie with husband and maybe go out and find a x-mas tree on the property....... take a nice hike.... or play mindless video games and sit around in our PJs if it is bad weather. 4. Working on that right now....... ideas please! a4a
SmoochieFace
wife that licks the spoons and puts back in food...then serves food Thanks for killing my upcoming Turkey-Day appetite... god, that's sick. You should somehow get that on tape and start a new show called America's Sickest Home Videos.

Author a4a
Thanks for killing my upcoming Turkey-Day appetite... god, that's sick. I tell you I saw her do this several times over the last year...... once was with a salsa jar.......plopped some on her plate..... licked the spoon then put the spoon back in the jar and plopped more salsa into a serving dish and set on the table for guests. I have learned to bring a dish.....that way I have something to eat if I get hungry. The family is sick often and with kids it has to be germ city......... The old stir and lick the spoon stir again is common in that house a4a
Walk
1.Where are you heading for festivities? To Grandmothers house I go.. ha. 2.Why don't you want to be there? *Uncle is an alcoholic, drug addict, who creeps me out. *My cousins kids are spoiled, obnoxious brats. *The mother just screams and screams at them, but the kids don't listen. *All conversations are interrupted by my brother who HAS TO BE the center of attention. *Neighbor guy comes over, won't talk, glares at everyone the entire dinner. Then takes all the left overs home with him. (doesn't bring a dish) *Last year there were 17 people in the small house. *The entire day is ruined by driving there, waiting, trying to carry on conversation over the screaming children, eat, wait, sit around, drive home. 3.Where would you rather be? Either at home (quietly relaxing). Or having my finger nails ripped slowly from my cuticles. 4. What was the dumbest/best excuse you used to get out of such a gathering? *My car broke down. *I was sick and didn't want to infect the children. *I was going to help the needy by serving food. *I'd stumbled on to a conspiracy and had to go into hiding for several months. (This takes care of christmas obligations too.) They didn't buy this one. *Said ex and I had to go to his relatives, then told his relatives we had to go to mine. Couldn't go to both because too far apart.

Thanksgiving is the greatest holiday because you get probably one of the best meals you are going to have in a year and it only cost you some small talk and a football game. Christmas is too much work/too materialistic but the heart is in the right place. Basically I was in a long term relationship with a girl that was too controling so I played these avoidence games all year round, lucky me. but on christmas I was expected to have all the gifts she wanted and to be a location x and y oclock. Man, I had to lie to her like crazy..
