johan
why do drunk men say I LOVE YOU when they are drunk?? do they reeeeally mean it? Some mean it some don't, I'm sure. Speaking for myself, I'm more likely to do and say things I wouldn't when I'm sober. I'm generally sincere when I'm drunk, but I'm in another state of mind.

mini696
Sometime we mean it, sometimes not. I never believe people when they say "I was drunk and didn't know what I was saying" because I always know what I am saying, but its that its easier to let my inabitions (sic) go when I am drunk. Is there a story to go with your question? Maybe it would put a better perspective on it. Mick PS I always mean it when I tell the plants I love them (just before I water them). Liliana
Very, very true that 'I was drunk' is an excellent excuse for backing out of a situation. In my experience, it doesn't even have to be that the situation is undesired. It could be, or it could be that the person making the excuse is now freking out about what they said/did.
