Visitor
Hi... I was just wondering if this happens to anyone else, and how you personally explain it.. I think I have a sixth-sense about things that are going to happen – but in the opposite way! For example, I was just thinking yesterday how great it was that my daughter has completely forgotten about the new hi-tops we bough her a couple months ago for Xmas (it was apparently a once-only design so we had to buy it then) and what a nice surprise it will be for her. Then this morning we’re getting ready for school, and she’s lost her shoes! (She does sports after school and lost them somewhere). So the point is … now I have to give her shoes early (and ruin the surprise) but my question is, (and this happens a lot to me) why did I have a feeling/though/premonition that the shoes were going to be a good xmas surprise, and then it turns out to be the opposite ? It’s almost like I have these premonitions, but they turn out backwards or the opposite of what I thought. I’m not trying to say I am a fortune teller, and that aspect of this question is really not my concern, what does concern me (and is killing me that I can’t understand/explain it) – is why it always turns out the opposite of what I felt/thought/etc. It has happened enough for me to know to trust it, but I still can’t understand why I always ‘see’ or 'feel' to opposite of what is going to happen. Any ideas? Thanks
Mz. Pixie
Eh, I used to have something happen and it would be so similar to something I'd dreamed in the past. Actual conversations, scenery etc. Quite wierd actually. It used to happen to me more when I was younger, not so much now that I'm older.
Bogun
It has happened enough for me to know to trust it, but I still can’t understand why I always ‘see’ or 'feel' to opposite of what is going to happen. If you trust it so much why didnt you do something about the shoes before they went missing???
Author Visitor
I wasn't with her at sports, during the day when I had the 'feeling' and honestly forgot all about it until this morning when we discovered her shoes missing. Anyway, as I mentioned it's not the 'clarivyance' aspect that I'm questioning, it's why it is an opposite feeling to what happens in reality - if that makes sense Cheers
Craig
It isn't that you are right all the time or that you have a 6th sense. The explanation is that you tend to remember when you are right and forget the times you are wrong.
Outcast
It's just coincidence.
newbby
there are millions of thoughts going through your head each day, and when something actually happens it triggers a memory of the relevant thought. i do happen to believe in clairvoyance though!!
a4a
Much of 6th sense can be because you learn to observe things..... all at once it comes together and you are able to predict what is about to happen. However, I have a odd sixth sense to detect death which is not so pleasant. I think if you tune in well much of what you predict does come true. I am not talking about self fulfilling your predictions that could be dismissed of course quite easily. a4a - the monkey wants love too
