Hi, I am curious to know how many of you ACTUALLY fully discussed sex with your partner before doing it? instead of giving in to the heat of the passion.

do you talk with them things such as are you std free, do you actually require them to have a test from the doctor; their view on abortion, what if she got pregnant,etc...

Hi :-) Well i think it is very important that you talk to the person you are going to have sex with about it and if you can go take a test if you wanna be sure that everything is fine with yall. But that is what i would do i think that is one of the most important things to do before having sex talk about it with your partner and also thing about if something might go wrong what they goingto do and like what are your and her views on aportion so i think if u r going to have sex first talk about it :-)

I think it's very important to talk about these issues before taking a relationship to a sexual level. I feel it's important for a couple to know eachothers history and views on such topics before they get into something they may regret later. In my own personal situation, my bf and I were together for a year then got tested before we ever decieded to have sex for the first time. I am so glad we waited and talked about all the possibilities before rushing into it, It put both our minds at ease and we were able to become life long friends rather than just a month long fling.

Hi "growingpain"

I like how you asked how many of us "ACTUALLY" fully discussed sex...

You have to keep in mind (for us old timers) things were different -- in some ways -- 20 years ago. I think young people of today have to be A LOT more careful when it comes to sex and its consequences. You have to worry about herpes, HIV, HEP C (though not actually considered an STD), and other STDs, as well as pregancy and abortion issues.

Though it is easy to give in to the heat of passion, the consequences can be devastating and last a life time. You ask a lot of good questions, and I think you already know the answers. Good for you for wanting to know. Yes you should talk things out BEFORE you "do it". You and your partner should be tested, use protection, and discuss what you will do IF your actions results in a pregnancy.

If you and your partner deal with these issues BEFORE having sex, it will bring you closer together, and make the sex even better.

Take care and be careful.

Ajay
