Repairing a stiuation?

Ive known this girl i REALLY like for a while now in my school, ive never really talked to her that much, just give her the occassional smile when i see her. She sometimes stares at me, and then looks away. Ive sent her a text message once which she replied to a while ago, and then when i sent her another text message the other day, saying what she has been up 2 and stuff, she did not reply.

 

I am certain that she received the message. Now she doesent really look at me that much and i think she tries to avoid me. I may have gave her the impression that i am "stalking her"

 

Anyway, the christmas party is coming up soon, and she will be there. I really want to get with her... are there any tips on repairing the situation, or what i should do at the party? She knows i like her, so if i talk to her, she will just think "oh no, hes trying it on again"

 

I have heared she also likes someone else, but he is no more good looking than i am. Maybe she just doesent like me... what do you think? What should i do?

Usually, in my experience you get two attempts. After that, if nothing comes of it, move on.

 

Move on. Let her be. You've made your interest clear, and the only way that she will even consider your advances is if you now back off. Otherwise you'll risk becoming either a pest or a stalker, neither of which are high on the most-wanted list of things chicks look for in a guy.

Yup. I mean, don't run and hide behind the furniture when you see her, by all means nod and smile or even say a one-word hello. But don't engage her unless she engages you first.

That's why you need to really back off, if she thinks you're obsessed. You may feel like you need to talk to her, but your feelings are lying. Happens all the time.
