Neptune
Well, actually I do not have a tattoo. But, I saw a gal today with one and it got me to thinking. That is the kiss of death as far as me having any rapport with her. I cannot explain it. But, seeing this gal it occurred to me that in my entire life I have NEVER hit it off with a woman with a tattoo. It must be consistent with a certain personality type. And, obviously one that I don`t connect with. So, fellow Ls compardres, do think there is something to it:confused:
Outcast
I know various people who are mega-turned off by tattoos and piercings. I had one guy pal who even hated pierced ears. Not sure if there's been any study done to determine whether the people who get tats and piercings share enough other characteristics to make them a defined demographic but it's possible. Author Neptune
Well, I think there is little doubt that generally people with tattoo`s would be characterized as having a "wild side" to them. I personally think this is the case. But, tattoos seem to have about as high a social acceptance as they have ever had at the moment so things may be changing.
lilmoma1973
I don't have a tattoo either and wouldn't never to do that to my body!! I personally don't consider that to be attractive when i see a guy that has one!! If i see a tattoo on a guy that would turn me off from that person and wouldn't even give them a second look!! Just MO !! My h's friend went to tattoo parlor and got talked into another tattoo at a local tattoo place and he already has tattoo's that his uncle done !! Well he let the people give him a tattoo after that guy kept asking him and they gave him Hepatitis from a dirty needle they used on him !! I'm not saying all places are like this but that is the risk you are taking getting a tattoo done!! He now has this diease from this tattoo and is suing them but he is in early thirtys and is married and if he wants anymore kids with his wife he can't !! He is ruined and is in early thirtys and will die from this all because this place wasn't using a clean needle!!
Art_Critic
In my experience I have found that if a woman has a tattoo it is an almost guarantee of sex on the first date.. I know it is a stereo type.. but I have noticed this trend with the women I have dated..
Author Neptune
The thing about me is that I am actually attracted to many women with tattoos but there is no connection with them. It seems I don`t trip their trigger. The other thing is even though I am attracted my reason overrules the emotion and know that the woman is bad news. I think I am attracted to bad girls a little like women are attracted to the bad boy image.
Outcast
You probably equate 'tattoo' with 'wanton sex'. Too easy to fall into believing in stereotypes. BTW, curse you for writing 'tattoo too'. I keep having visions of pink tutus
slubberdegullion
In my experience I have found that if a woman has a tattoo it is an almost guarantee of sex on the first date makes mental note to check chicks for tattoos I've got one, very discreet (discrete?), of a Maori symbol called a Hei Matau. It looks like this, and is about 3" high and 2" wide. After I got it, I mentioned it to the family once and my dad said, "Why? Is that so they'll be able to identify the body?" Oh har dee har freakin' har No one knows it's there until I remove my... > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > shirt. But the tats of snakes and impaled skulls and s*** like that just turn me off, on men or women.
tinktronik
I have two tatoos too. hehe. O' but I do. I do have two tatoos , carefully placed out of sight frm most of the population , personally , I like them I think their "pretty" and fit well with aspects of my personality. If you get a tatoo you should always make sure they open the clean needle in front of you.I thought this was common knoledge. Guess not. I dont know if it makes you and more wild to have a tatoo. Some of the most uptight people I know have them , and some of the least uptight "free for all" people I know don't . But I like my tatoos , people always say "ew , imagine what that will look like when your old." I reply. "Well , imagine what the rest of me will look like when I'm old." Oh har dee har freakin' har While in Hawaii last time, I saw a Samoan fellow who was tattooed over quite a bit of his body as is Samoan tradition. Never liked tattoos before but in that context I thought it was very appealing.
drgnflybethany
I'm as straight laced, conservative as they come. I wear pearls everyday. I was most recently called a fifties' lady w/ style... (so, my style is pretty conservative...) I have a tatoo.. Those that learn this secret - gawk at me with surprise. I have a birthmark, too.. no one gawks with surprise at that. My birthmark is more hidden than my tatoo... But honestly... maybe you're just attracted to the type of girl that just isn't necessarily into tatoo's... As long as you treat the ones that have them with respect, it's all good... ;o) Oh - and it's a dragonfly (imagine that) - with a green body, purple wings, flying over my left shoulder - and I got it a year ago in January.. Author Neptune
drgnflybethany, I think you missed the part about me being attrated to women with tattoos. Come on now. You know there is a wild child in there wanting to get out:laugh: But, you just got that tattoo and I also said that it now seems to have a greater social acceptance than ever before so things may be changing. Tattoo`s have long been associated with rebellion against the norm. Or so I thought.
drgnflybethany
I had been wanting one for ten years (when I was 19 - you do the math... ;o) ) They are of greater social acceptance, but so are piercings, and you wouldn't catch me with any exotic ones... As for my style - I'm reserved, quiet, and quite shy.. in person... I get a little wild every now and then... but not very often.. The tattoo was that coming out... and a rebellion (I got it right after I left the (now) ex-husband....) I was always afraid of the pain - and had friends with me - and was like - why not...? drgnflybethany
Nah - that isn't the one I got - just one I found - probably through MS Word clipart.. Mine's cuter - I sort of designed it with the tattoo artist.. he was so cool... Colors are pretty, too
Author Neptune
Take a picture on macro and download it. Then you could have the real thing;) With those picture programs you could put it in watercolor format or whatever. Of course, I do know anything about actually doing all that because I am technologically challanged:o
