Author JS17
At the risk of allowing this turn of events to continue down the overly beaten path...it has been dualy noted that the association of honesty to straightforwardness is a supporting factor in the "bad boy" philosophy. *I've made no bones about this philosophy annoying the crap out of me*

Outcast
I've been to NY once. I went into a shop near where I was staying and asked for something "please". The guy looked at me with utter contempt. Feeling a bit puzzled, I thanked him and received another derisive glance. As an experiment, I went into the same shop the next day and was downright curt. I swear, the response I got from him was almost warm. Is that normal? Unfortunately, some folks from the US of A think 'English accent' = 'snob' and actively dislike English people because of that. I suspect when you behaved in a less polite way, he assumed you weren't a 'snob' after all my h still holds onto that "baggage" and I pay for it. Our therapist said it's called transference. He thinks the ugly old suitcase he's carrying is yours. You keep trying to tell him it's his and that he's just dropped it on your foot. Is the therapy helping at all? Becoming
I once had this fantasy of being able to leave all my baggage at an airport and have it just taken away. It just doesn't work that way, does it? Sure wish it did. Some of these bags are damn heavy. And when you try to deal with all the stuff you've been carrying around, ya feel like an idiot repacking your suitcases right there in the airport where everyone can see your holey knickers.
