Pregnant, to be happy or not, that is the question.

Recommended Posts

Well this morning I found out I'm pregnant. I don't know whether or not to be happy or sad. I currently have a 3yr & have been married 3 1/2 years. The only problem is my H & I have NOT been getting along hardly at all. Some of you read my past post. This couldn't have happened at the worst time. Under normal circumstances I would be overjoyed b/c my H & I both want another child, but not now when we fight all the time. I'm on the patch & misses ONE week, ONE week & got pregnant. I'm just so confused right now.

Erotica (great handle, by the way), consider yourself extremely fortunate. Sure, things between you & hub may not be the best right now, but you're a grown, strong and smart woman. Relationship stuff, while important, pales in comparison to the new life starting inside you.

So take care of yourself, take care of your relationship, maybe seek couples counselling. Make the decision to love.

Good luck.

congratulations on your pregnancy, honey! What an exciting thing to find out at Christmas time, too :)

it sounds like you've really been thrown for a loop, what with all the problems you and your husband have been encountering, but this might be what brings you back on the same page, so to speak. As hairy as things might have been, a new arrival casts a different light on things, you know?

best of luck to you and your husband.

hugs,

quank

Thanks, I guess I just need some reassurance everything will be fine. Maybe this will bring us back together, but I'm just so worried b/c his drinking is our MAIN problem & I don't think this will even make him stop. It still hasn't REALLY sunk in yet so I'm just kinda numb on how I should feel. Thank you for your support & kind words.

Relationships can be very hard! Being a mother can be even harder, but what joy motherhood (as you well know) can bring.

Perhaps, your husband will see things in a diffrent light now. Seek some help.

Praying for you with all my heart....

Congrats on the pregnancy and hope things go good for you!!! I know that it is going to be hard with you having a 3 yr old already but as long as you and your h are on the same page and he is willing to pull his weight with helping out and all you should be fine!! Good luck :D

This is what I'm worried about. He doesn't help much w/ our 3yr old. He did really good with fher until she turned 1 1/2-2 thats when she became my FULL resposibility. he would rather be w/ his friends than with us. He's also an alcoholic & throws worse tember tantrums than my 3yr old. For example, the other day (before I told him I was pg) He asked me to go to the store to get him some beer. This is right when I get home from the mall w/ my daughter christmas shopping, while he's been sitting home oh wait he went to his friends house for a while, I was tired from fighting w/ my daughter ALL day to stay by me IN THE MALL. I would normally but I lost my driver license there fore they won't sell me alcohol anyway. Well he seems to think if I take HIS ID w/ me they will sell it to me since they know him. I'm not going to be embarrised when they won't. & he start stomping around & slaming things & when he left, he left for an hour & 1/2. Huge temper tantrums. Thats the main reason I"m worried & not sure if I'm REALLY excited about this baby b/c it just means more responsibility & stress for ME w/ no help from H.
