Cassey6385 Posted December 20, 2005 Share Posted December 20, 2005 Hi all, I have quite a story for you.... I met my current boyfriend in an internet chatroom on AOL when I was 13. We were chat buddies for years. Then when I was 16 we exchanged numbers. Then when I was 17 we realized we had A LOT in common and begged our parents to let us meet. We met,with all of my family present, and it was incredible. Love at first sight. I had brought with me a promise ring to give him. He had also purchased one for me, and we exchanged on the night we met, not knowing beforehand the other had purchased a ring. This was not some online hookup. I was molested and abused as a child, and went through quite some things.. and he was always there for me through all of it. So after the promise ring incident, I went back to my home state.... He lived states away.. and when I turned 18... I told my mom I loved him and knew I had to be with him... I knew he was the one. Now, we have been dating for almost three years. I am so proud of him. He's graduating college this year, majoring in graphic design. I am pursuing my dream of acting. All is going well... And all was normal.. until yesterday. We went to the mall, and he had me looking at rings.... Engagement rings... and I saw a ring I had already picked out on three different occasions with my best friend. So of course I freaked out. The ring was absolutely BEAUTIFUL. I almost cried and it wasn't even mine. Well, he noticed my reaction to it, and then opened a Kay Jewelers CREDIT CARD. He does not even LIKE credit cards. He refuses to own any. What gets me is the limit of credit he has would pay off the ring entirely. He could pick it up today if he wanted to. It's so close to Christmas... He's planning the proposal, he told me today that he plans on talking to his parents about it, and getting their blessing.. my father passed away when I was four, so he plans on talking to my mom... and I have been waiting for this forever, it seems... a fairytale.. and now it seems almost here... What I am wondering is.. if a guy opens a Kay Jewelers credit card.... does that mean I should be expecting a proposal in my near future, especially if the sale on the ring ends NEXT WEEK??? PLEASE help ease my nerves!!!! I can't even sleep!! oh, and he re-asked my ring size today... aaarrrggggghhhhh!!! Link to post Share on other sites

I'm kinda in that mode where you know it's coming... but you don't know when. or how... but have a heavy feeling in the pit of my stomach that says SOON.. he was acting way too wierd today... even commented about getting my jewelery for christmas... that was low... lol.... I have a habit of wearing makeup. He doesn't like makeup. He says my face is too beautiful for it. So, I got this speech yesterday: "I don't like the makeup. I will not tell you when I am going to propose, but it is planned out. And when I take that step to bring my love for you to the next level, I want to see natural tears, so you are not to wear makeup. If I see you wearing makeup the day I plan it, I will postpone it."
