jen_jen_heartbroken
All my family are with their in-laws on this special day, which leaves me alone with nobody. And my boyfriend isn't talking to me. No calls from anyone. I hate f*cking holidays.

Lonestar
Don't sweat it, jen-jen. I spent most of the day alone too. I spent Xmas Eve with family, but my kids left this morning and the rest of my family was with their other families today. I could have gone to a friend's for dinner, but chose to stay home as her attitude has been kind of harsh lately and I didn't feel like dealing with her on a holiday. I was supposed to go out drinking with a friend tonight, but we can't find anything open!! I thought for sure a few bars would open up at night since everyone has the day off tomorrow. I'm going to stay home, read, and watch a movie or two. Use this time to relax and regroup. Try not to think of it as a holiday to be with others, but rather as a holiday away from life.. hugs to you
johan
This year, it helped me a little bit to think back and actually count the number of holiday seasons I spent alone and miserable. The majority of them I had someone special to spend them with. They don't ALWAYS suck. Chin up, jen.

HokeyReligions
Well, you could have been forced to give birth in a stable! Christmas is what you make of it. If you don't want to be alone - go to a movie or hand out food at a shelter, or spend time at an animal shelter socializing with unwanted doglets and catlets! Curl up with a good book. Light a roaring fire in your fireplace if you have one -- or turn up the heat and run around naked - dancing to holiday songs! Do things that you can't do when others are around. Treasa
Just think - you could have been in Indonedia last year for Christmas. Now THAT would have sucked. Curl up with a good book, get some hot chocolate, and do some reading.
