Now that I'm happy

Well, here's the deal. While ago, my friend said he thought I'd be perfect for this guy he knew. The guy is really quite, but he's funny, talented, and very smart...just...different.

I was going through a rough depression, and the last thing I wanted was to date someone. Now this guy is known for not speaking much at all, but when we first met, he tried talking to me, several times and then waited for me to talk to him. He found me very pretty and thought I might be worth persuing. but because of my mood, I was completely unaffected by his attempts at flirting and treated him as I would any other aquaintance. After that, he treated me the same way he treats everyone else...

Eventually, I started talknig to him through the internet. When time passed my depression did also and so when I took time to look at my situation, I found that I had really grown to like him as I got to know him, and that we really did have a lot of things in common...problem?

Now that I like him, the guy feels that we had no "chemistry" and sees it unlikely that we'll ever go out.

He's acted completely indifferent towards my liking him (although he is still a very kind and supportive friend), and here I am wanting to kick my past self for being so blind.

We haven't seen eachother for a few days, and there is going to be a party soon...I want to try aproaching him again, as more than a friend, but I'm not sure...once you don't have the "innitial click", can you still make a guy see you as something more than just another friend?
