A little story about wishing you had a second chance.

Recommended Posts

I used to come on this website a lot agonizing over an ex-boyfriend. If anybody remembers my story (not like you haven't heard this same story a million times) my ex dumped me and took up with a new girl a week later.

Well, I have to tell you, I stayed away from the guy. I maintained no contact (or very little contact) for eight months after our break up and then he called and wanted me to come and see him and I did. We hung out and talked and we hooked up againg for maybe a month and then it seemed like that was that and then we were done again. I never contacted him again. Well, wouldn't you know it? Some things don't just die do they. A few months after that, my ex contacts me again. He tells me how much he misses me etc. and we go back again. Then we have a fight, then we go back again, and again. And you know what? Now I can't get rid of the guy. He's driving me crazy. I love and I hate him at the same time! I think I hate him more because of what I feel like he's taking from my life.

So, I tell all those who are agonzing for a second chance with somebody who hurt you bad: let youself heal and maybe just move on. There are lots of fish in the sea and wouldn't you rather meet one of them instead of dragging out an old relationship with an ex. I have been off and on with my ex now for FIVE FRICKEN years. It's not a lot of fun. I am just trying to figure out now how I can once again get out of this relationship for GOOD so I can spend more time with some of the nice men I've met over the course of this year.

So anyway, I say be careful what you wish for. This guy/girl might come crawling back to you if you wish for it hard enough and then maybe you'll miss out on some other really great person who isn't going to f*ck you over every time. Just my two cents. Sometimes it's best just to LET THEM GO. I am totally learning this the hard way!
