Would it be in my best interest to end this friendship?

Now this kid and I are late 20’s but we went to HS together.  When we were in HS he would constantly go upto other kids in our class and say “look at this kid” in regards to me and he would harass me like that at the gym, when he would go down the stairs he would say “look at this kid” right in my face, and he would stick his chest at me whenever he saw me in the hallways.  Last time him was 3-4 years ago he did that and came upto me and said he was just kidding.

 

honestly feel like I have PTSD from perceiving this as bullying.  The only place we saw each other after HS was a public gym we shared as a common place of interest but I am not a member there bc after Covid haven’t done public gyms anymore.  In general he comes off as very cocky and condescending.

How do I go about this?  Do I just give him hints I’m not interested in a friendship with him?  Next time I see him should I talk to him about that and how it bothers me and politely tell him to knock it off?

I am confused - are you actually friends with this guy now? 

You say you only saw him at the gym after highschool but now you don't go to that gym anymore. Are you and he in touch?

There's no need to talk to him or interact with him in any way.   Ignore it.  Nothing you say to him will penetrate.  He's a jerk.  Maybe he's matured since HS but you aren't required to give him the benefit of the doubt.

No I am not friends with him anymore.  Him and I are no longer in touch.
