Me and my LDR boyfriend just broke up last night (i did it) because he said he wasnt in the right headspace to make me a priority, and he needs to work on himself. He was unsure if he wanted to see me after i said i wanted to visit him (almost a month from now). Now i can only think about him messaging me and wanting me back!

We havent seen eachother for almost 2 months and in the last 10days he hasbeen comunicating less with me.

In the end he said in was the most important person in his life and that he loves me.

Please help.

Ah yes, breakups are tough.  And though it feels contradictory, it's perfectly normal to make the sensible decision to end the relationship but still miss them.

Him contacting you less and less means that he's beginning to move on.  Perhaps the space will allow you to start getting used to it on your end as well?   Thing is, you really won't start to recover until you get used to your life without him in it.

Have you got friends around you?  Can you hang out with the girls on Saturday night?

So he did message you and told you he loved you and he wanted you back? He regretted what he had said before? If so, then just take him back.

If he didn’t tell you and show you he wanted you back, his “I love you” doesn’t mean much, sorry. My ex told me I was like family to her when she broke up with me. You probably should move on, as hurtful as it is presently.

If someone chooses to end things despite their feelings for you, there's often little one can do besides urge them to reconsider.

I think the thing to do here is give him his space and hope he'll return but start the mental/emotional process of detaching since he certainly might not, and you want to be ready to move on once you feel enough time has passed.

"If you love something, set it free..."
