This is not a game, and it’s not “ultimately about procreation”. Otherwise women above 45 or so wouldn’t be able to attract anyone. Yet they do, and so do sterile men, for example.

Nobody thinks about “healthy offspring” when being attracted to someone. And your age reasoning is anyway flawed, as I’ve pointed above.

Now it’s flawed in both directions. My mother “produced” me when she was 40. I’m quite healthy, thank you very much.

A self made man is attractive because being professionally active and doing your job well are attractive, manly traits. Not because he “provides resources and security”. Women can provide resources and security to themselves and don’t necessarily need men to do that.
