Alr I met him last night and he texted me when I already went to bed and woke up to this:

Hey it’s <his name>
Julie right?

 

i told him when i told him my name people constantly here it as Julie so i get the joke but idk how to respond

I'd respond, "no, it's Jolene, lol".  And, if his name is Dan, I'd add, "Hi Don, lol, I hoped I'd hear from you."

I know you didn't ask this.....but do you like coy guys?   It's just that this approach would have fallen flat with me (but I fully accept that we all have different senses of humour and that you may find it funny)
