Chemical imbalance is not something you have control over no matter how hard you try. my dad is willfully ignorant. in this day and age he has no reason to have all these radical "opinions" he will seriously tell himself and me that he knows better than someone who is actually educated in the medical field. im still going to try to talk to him about all the physical symptoms of anxiety ive been experiencing and tell him that I need to see a doctor. if he doesn't understand there's really nothing I can tell myself other than oh well. When you say "parental approval" are you talking about your dad paying for the treatment?

So a person under the age of 18 cannot receive any medication prescribed by a doctor without parental approval? That's nuts! How long till you turn 18?

Okay, have the doc write a prescription and have a parent sign off on it. Also, if you are attending college, your tuition covers mental health counseling on campus. Either you want to pursue treatment or not. If so, do what it takes to get it done.
