SproadicQuestionaire
I went to a concert with a buddy and immediately hit it off with these girls. My girl was dancing on me all night and kept grabbing my arm and putting it around her etc… made out a few times, never once asked for a drink or anything. Kept giving me compliments and whatnot. Never once did I say anything odd or strange. This was a country concert if that matters. I’m 6’4”, athletic build and have a great career. We spoke about what we both do and stuff, whatever. At the end of the night, I give her my number and exchange instagrams. She immediately texts me that night, I respond once. Within 12 hours, she unfollows me, keeps me as a follower and then nothing. Is this today’s society or what the hell just happened?
basil67
No, it's not today's society. I was young in the 80's and we could dance with a guy all night, share deep kisses and never see them again. Though in your case, she did get as far as seeing getting your IG, so she got to see a bit about your lifestyle. Perhaps she got a certain vibe from your pics which didn't work for her

Because if she was much younger, you would have been a bit of fun for the night, but unlikely to be a serious dating prospect.
Gebidozo
Why are you so surprised? That’s completely normal, she was somewhat interested in you that night and then the next day she decided not to pursue this. Why does such a trivial occurrence provoke such a strong reaction in you? What if she had a one night stand with you and then blocked you the next day? That happens, too. Nothing unusual or truly wrong about that, as long as there were no promises involved and nobody misled anyone.
Els
I mean, all sorts of things could have happened? Maybe she went on a date with someone she really likes and decided to become exclusive. Maybe she wasn't looking for anything other than casual fun and so changed her mind about following up. Maybe she saw something she didn't like on your IG. Maybe she got accepted to college in another state. Who knows. The real question is why are you taking this so seriously?
lemonicetea
No offense dude, but you picked up a chick at a concert. Although it’s possible for something like that to turn into a relationship, most people in that kind of situation are just in it for the night. Leihla_B
Might be a case of two girls having a night without their boyfriends, or maybe she's overly active with dating and has you in a queue... In any case, flakes don't speak for all of 'society,' they speak for themselves. Head high, and congrats on having a great time.
smackie9
Gosh I remember in the old days getting phone calls from guys that had met some chick the night before and she gave them some fake (MINE!) number on a matchbook cover lol. The conversation would go "Hi is Sherry there?" "No there's no Sherry here." Then he would say "Are you sure?" then I would just tell them he got duped with a fake number. Then the big sigh if disappointment on the other end. So it's nothing new. It's not "today's society" it's typical human behaviour. Some things never change. FredEire
Really really normal man. Two people make out at a concert after a few drinks and maybe other substances. The next day they wake up with a hangover and their friends ask them do you remember making out with that guy/girl for ages and they say oh yeah, I think their name was John/Jane/whatever and it doesn't occupy any further space in their mind. Sometimes they might drunkenly hook up, I think it's really really rare for it to be any more than that and it's a bit silly to expect it to be any more.
