He blocked me when we split up 6 months ago because he was talking to someone else... Then he begged me back but has never unblocked me... When I brought it up he got an attitude

So you need to question why you're back with a guy who not only left you blocked, but gives you attitude when you ask about it

No.  My sister was with her ex boyfriend for 7 years and he did the same thing he also blocked me on there. 
 

it was because he was always flirting and hearting women’s photos and didn’t want us to see ..: the pathetic little muppet that he was.

Absolutely not. I’d tell him to unblock you or I would end things. He’s clearly talking to other women, liking photos etc.

I wouldn't take back anyone that I'd broken up with for this reason in the first place, much less put up with 'attitude' about my access to his social media.

Either a partner respects me as I do him, or he's not my partner.

He's clearly still hiding something.  He was being unfaithful only 6 months ago.  That is not a long time ago at all.  That should tell you all you need to know.  You probably shouldn't have taken him back in the first place.
