Did he send flowers to multiple people?

Recommended Posts

I just received a beautiful bouquet of flowers from my boyfriend. On a separate page attached to the message it read: Item 2 of 9.

That page included details of the bouquet I received. He used ProFlowers online. I asked if he sent flowers to multiple people at once. He said “no.”  But it’s hard to believe because one time I discovered that he has a whole list of names & addresses in his Amazon account. He’s always sending stuff to family & friends for various occasions. Why would ProFlowers put item 2 of 9 on the order details with the bouquet?

Did you meet him online? Some people do date multiple people at once when online dating. How long have you two been dating?

I’ve known him for 4 years. I even called ProFlowers to ask the reason they included that page in my bouquet. What does Item 2 of 9 mean. The agent laughed & said it’s a typo. So I asked rather the sender sent bouquets to multiple recipients. He said he can’t give that information since I’m not the person who made the order.

Let's forget about the 2 of 9 detail for a second and analyse:

1. Sending flowers is not cheap.   Does he have the financial means to be sending nine beautiful bouquets?

2. Also dating/wooing nine women would keep him very busy.  Is his lifestyle something which could support this without you having any idea?

Your mind has to stop going to these unbeleivable scenarios.

He probably picked bouquet #2 out of 9 options in the categorie of bouquets he was searching.

When we order online there are different people behind that execute the order. They all have their way of doing things. The person answering the phone does not necessary know what people are doing in the back room.

Honestly, this was a really silly question to ask.  If a guy is cheating, he's going to lie.  If he's not cheating, you're going to look a bit nuts.  Did you even consider the logistics of cost or time involved in dating nine women before you asked him?

And Gaeta is very likely right about it being option 2 of 9 different bouquets

Back when I was single I used to openly multi-date. The absolute most women I could concurrently "date" was 4 or 5. Even then I couldn't spend any real time with or talking with any single one of them. Anything more was impossible time wise. 9? Omg I can't even imagine.

Yes, this goes to the heart of it, OP. It certainly doesn't make you 'wrong' or 'bad' to love someone you don't trust, it just will make your life a living hell.

Do you want to talk about it?

You honestly think he sent flowers to NINE people?  That's not even realistic.  That's a little crazy.

Has anything else happened in this relationship that has caused you to be suspicious of him cheating?

This is a very good question. I always trust until there's a cause for suspicion. This flower thing is not the first "red flag" so to speak. I haven't caught him cheating. And I'm not looking for evidence. But I know he's attracted to other women. I did consider the cost of 9 bouquets (around $700). He could just write that off as a business expense. It feels like this fell into my lap.
