Curious_wonders
We almost always end up making out with each other when we hang out. We never pursue anything further but always talk about sex in conversation. We are not a couple, yet everyone thinks we are. A relationship came up in discussion once about a year ago and he doesn't want one, and I'm not sure if I want one either. All in all I just want to be on the same page but find it to be challenging to ask him to talk with me about this. It would be nice to know where we stand with each other and not keep wondering what the heck is going on. What is the best way to approach this situation?

ShyViolet
If he doesn't want a relationship, and you're not sure that you want one either, then I'm not sure what your question is. What would there be for you and him to talk about?
Georgia46
Just ask him…. What is this to you? …. and go from there ..
Alpacalia
What is there to wonder about? He doesn't want a relationship. I can't say if you want one or not because you don't express any details about that. So what's left to think about? Take the one detail that you've given and consider it your answer. He does not want a relationship. Tell yourself that there's nothing else to know and whatever else he's doing is exactly the same thing he'd be doing whether you knew he didn't want a relationship or you didn't know. Nothing has changed about what his current actions are. Stay clear about that. Your thoughts don't even need to go there.
